Fisher Brewing Co. – A Legacy in WoodThis unique reclaimed wood art piece is crafted from an original Fisher Brewing Company beer crate, preserving a piece of Salt Lake City’s rich brewing history. The worn wood, aged lettering, and natural imperfections tell a story that dates back to the late 1800s when Fisher Brewing first made its mark on Utah.
The History of Fisher Brewing Company
Founded in 1884 by Albert Fisher, a German immigrant with a passion for brewing, Fisher Brewing Company quickly became a staple in Salt Lake City’s beer scene. Known for its high-quality lagers and ales, the brewery flourished for decades, becoming one of Utah’s most successful independent brewers.
Despite the challenges of Prohibition (1920–1933), Fisher adapted by producing near-beer and soft drinks, allowing the business to survive until the repeal. The brewery resumed full beer production and continued its legacy until its closure in 1967.
In 2017, the Fisher name was revived by a new generation of craft brewers dedicated to honoring Albert Fisher’s original vision. Today, Fisher Brewing Company is once again a beloved part of Salt Lake City’s craft beer community.
